Seven Pounds (SPOILERS!)

THE saddest movie I've seen this year is Seven Pounds. Will Smith plays as Ben Thomas, an IRS tax collector. He changes the lives of so many people.

The story goes:
Ben feels guilty for killing his wife and 6 other people in a car crash (never text while driving), so Ben donates 7 pounds of his body organs to good people in dire need.

1. One of his lungs for his brother
2. A liver to a social worker
3. A kidney to a hockey coach
4. Bone marrow for a kid with cancer
5. His house to a beaten up Hispanic woman with kids
6. His eyes to a bind man named Ezhre
7. His heart to a woman named Emily Posa

Ben dies from a jellyfish sting in a bathtub.

I watched the movie last night with Kyle and his best friend, Chris. The movie was confusing at first, mostly because we were late from buying popcorn and drinks. I could tell that the two would rather watch something more manly. But in the end, I could have shed a tear or two. ;)

It's a pretty unnecessarily long movie (2 hours), but if you want to watch a good tear jerker... Go see it. Also, I must say that coming from I Am Legend and Hancock, this was not one of Will Smith's greatest works.

Happy Birthday, Cheryl Boswell

Birthdays are special because you celebrate them with friends and family. Even if you don't celebrate your own, I'm pretty sure someone else is celebrating your birthday.

My boyfriend's mom had her birthday party today at Guadalajara's (I spelled it wrong in the video.) It was very fun, and she received many gifts from friends that she loved.

I gave her a brown teddy bear with a red bow because red and brown are her favorite colors. I also gave her lotion and body splash that smelled so scrumptious, along with a good book to read before bed.

Kyle wrote her songs that I put in this video. =] She cried happy tears when she first heard it.

Have fun on your birthdays. It means you made it a whole 'notha year!

ACOA rocked my socks

Today, my boyfriend and I went to see ACOA in their live performance at the Peppermint Beach Club. They were excellent tonight.

For everyone who don't know, ACOA stands for A Couple Of Amateurs. My friend, Patrick, is the bass player of this band. Of course, I had to come out and see him play in this big performance. I must say that I am very proud of him.

The band includes Trevor: the lead vocalist, Chelsea: vocals and acoustics, Patrick: bass, Jon: guitar, Cody: drums, and Tyler: lead guitar.

Songs played at the performance were "Knew It All Along", "Only Try", a happy birthday song to Chelsea's 16 year old sister Brittany, and "The Right to Know" for the ending. Unfortunately I couldn't stay for the whole performance for a stupid reason (I'm 18 with a 9 o'clock curfew). Still, this powerpop/rock/acoustic band really had me jammin. The happy birthday song made it even better. I can't wait to see them in their next big performance!

Better yet, add them on myspace! --> www.myspace.com/acoarox
